Chinese and foreign residents living in Nanjing, Jiangsu province took a walk around the Nanjing Safety Zone on Dec 2, a demilitarized area which has saved the lives of thousands of Chinese civilians during the Nanjing Massacre in 1937.
Initiated by Nanjing Normal University two years ago to memorize the past and call for a peaceful future, this year's edition gained the participation of victims and their later generations, as well as foreigners, local college students, and representatives from the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders and the Red Cross Society of China, Nanjing Branch.
