On April 7, a bright Sunday, a group of Russian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Ugandan students from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province engaged in activities with a local residential community and updated their impressions of the Sanyuesan celebrations.
Sanyuesan, which in Chinese refers to the third day of the third lunar month, is one of the country's most famous folk festivals and is observed through a series of celebrations.
This year's celebrations featured foreign students putting on hanfu, or traditional Chinese costume, and acting time-honored rituals, reciting Chinese poems, and trying classic embroidery.
