A program offering college students internship opportunities at renowned Jiangsu enterprises was launched in the provincial capital of Nanjing on June 1. 

Guided by the Jiangsu provincial talent office and educational department, the plan will offer students internships at 25 Jiangsu-based enterprises, including the Jiangsu Coast Development Group, Suning Group and Heilan Group, where they will receive hands-on training from veteran tutors. 

The program is a practical move for the eastern Chinese province as it seeks to integrate industry and education and strengthen the relationship between schools and enterprises. It will help local enterprises, especially those in the high-tech frontier, hire more professionals and hasten development. 

A job fair for students seeking internships was held on the sidelines, involving some 300 companies offering more than 5,000 jobs.
