A basketball invitational, involving players from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, kicked off in Lianyungang in Jiangsu province on July 20.
Over seven days, the local Haizhou Senior High School and its spectators witnessed 14 teams from across the Straits working their basketball skills in 91 games.
The host school is focused on sharpening its basketball expertise. Since 2012 it has carried out various exchange and training activities, as well as staged professional games with its Taiwan counterparts.
