Middle Kingdom as China was known in ancient times was one of the earliest four civilizations. A country of vibrant landscapes, marvelous architecture, warns hearted people a government that made it a prosperous nation within few decades.
A thousand words won’t be enough to describe China and its people.
Usually people of a country define what it is. The culture, of China is what really interests me a lot. Culturally they seem so civilized in their way of keeping their families together, loving their children like kings and queens, respecting people of other countries and so many other things.
I have been visiting several cities in China since I started my studies in 2011. I have always been treated as one of them. I love their hospitality towards anyone be them from anywhere. What I feel is it is in there upbringing that makes them such great hosts to their guest. Hello-你好 is not only a word here, it shows pure respect towards people known or unknown.
Food is another specialty of Chinese people. Noodles, Fried Rice, Beijing Roasted Duck, etc. are some of foods I like the most. Black Vinegar from Jiangsu Province is an all-time favorite. Egg fried Rice -鸡蛋炒饭 is the most prominent food I have even seen in my country India, where it’s eaten with much fanfare. Dim Sums –包子 and Dumpling-饺子 which we fondly call Momos in India is one of the most favorite fast food of India。
People in China are usually punctual in their daily life. They get up early morning, are never late, and do there chores on time. Their stupendous development leading China as a world class modern country in matter of few years is due to their sheer determination and punctuality.
Name anything and you got it. Be it the parcel or food delivery, everything is so well organized and efficient.
Well known inventions like paper, gun powder, paper money, compass etc. are China’s gift to the world. China lifted 700 million people from poverty in three decades. The government has equal role in development of China.
When a foreigner like me first visited China, I was astonished to see a country which I dreamt of to explore one day would be such a memorable experience and convert into lifelong love. It’s with a true heart; I must say that this country has given me so much.
Education seems to be of great importance to people here. Children are encouraged to study hard and are well disciplined. Development of China has education as the main reason at its core. Institutions of learning here are world class. Infrastructure, hostels, labs, libraries, schools here are some of the best in the world.
A few notable mentions are important as we move further. From a foreigner’s point of view, they determine a countries level by what it has to offer. This is China for them. Roads, magnificent bridges, engineering marvels, dams, grand buildings, people’s squares, parks, zoos, etc. These are not like any we know. These are amongst the best in the world.
China is a manufacturing country and we all know it. You name it and you get it online with websites like taobao.com, jd.com .or locally from shopping districts spread throughout. The best part is China has everything one country can envy for. Many companies from China have made name for them internationally. It is a world leader in economy. One of the most powerful military belongs to this great nation.
What I love about China is its equality amongst people of all walks of life. I see people who are very rich leading a simple life free of show offs. A rich Chinese can easily be seen on a cheap e-bike on any other day. This is because of the non-discriminatory thinking of people. They walk hand in hand with each other. World today is so China dependent that it literally shakes of the world economy.
Cities with the grandeur of Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong can’t be found elsewhere. Shanghai has always been an all-time favorite of mine. I mean just look at Shanghai, What a city! Early morning views at The Bund beats Eifel in its appeal. The river faces, beautiful East Nanjing Street shopping area are iconic landmarks of Shanghai besides many other interests.
Music has been as much of great influence for everyone. Chinese movies are just so exquisite; Operas of Beijing and Canton are the most well-known.
I feel it’s my luck to have experienced this country got to learn so much from it and lead a life of self-importance, punctuality, self-esteem, warm nature and so on.
China has so much more that can be written about but as I earlier said it’s a book of million words that can’t be described completely. At the end it were these moments, To strive to achieve something in life, and the friends which are still there in my life and the ones I lost and the teachers. I love you China-Jiangsu and you will forever hold a key place in my life. You were a dream come true in my life.
