My name is Wilbard, well known as Willy. I am an Internet of Things student at Nantong Vocational University, Nantong, Jiangsu province.

Mr. Berek Bok, former president of Havard University in the U.S once said “If you think education is expensive, try igonorance” to rephrase this quote, I held conversations with like-minded people, wherein we discuss about the world of information in the new era and how bliss ignorance is. This article portrays the dream that I pursue in Jiangsu as I witness the striving forward Jiangsu in the new era.

One of the greatest things about living in China is the cultural experience, from discovering new and cool things to experiencing inevitable friendliness of the people, I thumb up Jiangsu Excellent Talent Plan for foreign students for their joint cooperation program which saw me seeking a dream in Jiangsu.

Despite limited exposure and short duration of my study program, I am proud to be part of the University that by today have the most number of Namibian students in China. For this reason, it is of utmost importance to have learned that Foreign Affairs Office of Nantong Municipal Government have an ongoing program to establish educational centers in Africa. The bilateral exchanges of African countries with that of the People's Republic of China should continue to deepen and achieve notable success for sustainable development. On the same note, the one belt one road initiative will cultivate messengers of trade exchanges and cooperation.

This year, China is celebrating her 70th anniversary, if anyone may think of China 50 years ago, you may realize that development comes with education, hard work and dedication. I am keen to have celebrated Chinese national holiday and the Chinese New Year with the Chinese people every year of my stay. It is through these holidays that we learn to integrate into a Chinese culture and explore their rich heritage.

I thumb up Jiangsu for the good municipal government which is committed to make life of foreigners living elsewhere within the jurisdiction of the province to realize the warm “welcome to China” phrase which is commonly used by Chinese people. Nantong Vocational University is one of my alma mater, where we pursue noble morals and visionary aspirations while studying the natural phenomena to acquire knowledge. I thumb up Jiangsu, for the kinds of foreign cup competitions of which the international football team of my university has been emerging victorious champions of the past seasons. It is for this background that we seek a dream in Jiangsu.

As one of the students' representative at my university, I wish to work together with the group and strive to complement each other well as we proceed to make our academics a progress until we can graduate. With these inferences about seeking my dream in Jiangsu and giving a thumbs-up to Jiangsu, I encourage foreign students to learn Chinese Mandarin and take it to the next level. Not only the need to address the language barrier but also for getting Chinese scholarships and internships. Living in Nantong has me connected with the Nantong Foreigners Christian Fellowship where we sing together as we worship. Lately in 2018, I volunteered in quite a number of voluntary academic and non-academic activities such as eco-planting projects held in Wuxi and attending the China's 3rd e-commerce summit held in Zhengzhou.

During my summer holiday, one of my project that I worked on was recording the Chinese famous song “朋友” by the famous singer Mr. 周华健. Depicting incites from a study in China perspective, I would like to encourage fellow foreign students studying in Mainland China to take their study serious and strive to get ideas on business and innovation which could work well in the economic contexts of their motherlands.

There is a Chinese saying an inch of time is worth an inch of gold, but an inch of gold may not buy an inch of time. This has taught me the importance of time and how to utilize it in a proper way; managing it according to the current situation, because in the end what we regret most are the chances we never took.
