My name is dim Chan ratanak, I'm from Cambodia and I also have Chinese name 钱拉坦, which was given by the teacher of the administration when the first time I came to study in Nanjing Normal University , she said that you are similar and the sound is also similar to your original name, so I accepted it with the smile to her. By the that is the first time i when far from my parents to study overseas.

Talking about myself before I came to study in People Republic of China, I also has a job as police officer, working for 5year nowadays. I came here to study 5year as bachelor degrees, major is public security in Jiangsu Police Institute, before I study my major, I have to study China language 1 year in Nanjing normal university.

The living and studying in China, for me I think the people republic of China is a successful developing country, the fast growing economy, technological, global ranking education and particularly cultural and historical, this thing I also hear and watch by news reports but now I saw it by myself. It has been such an amazing journey and opportunity came to learn and been exposed to the different languages, awesome places, foods and new friends came from different countries to study together, I got to travel and explore new things in China which I had thought, I would never be able to do before. The first year is hard for me to study Chinese language and also begin to learn how to live overseas, anyway nothing is impossible for me, I'm already putting so much efforts in studying and living, so that I won't have any more problems when I enter the second year in my major.

I'm so delighted to be able to study in China, I'm going to do the best and use the once in a lifetime opportunity as much as I can to learn and make it useful for my future activities. And the last thing I want thank very much for Cambodia government and people's republic of China, and the teacher for all love and support, especially the treatment encouragement which I have gotten so far.

October 1st of this year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. That day, I watched TV, the military parade, and I was shocked. I wish that china will develop fast and fast and I hope that I can study well and live happily here.
