Intl students take a bite of Peking Opera

A group of international students from Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang city took part in a cultural experience activity on Peking Opera on Aug 23, local media reported.
The foreign students, though come from countries such as Russia, Ghana, Mexico and Zimbabwe and have been in China for one or two years, were all green hands at the traditional performance art.
Facial make-up won the highest interest from the international students as they got to know the personalities and social identities of classic characters such as Guan Yu, Bao Zheng, Zhang Fei and Cheng Yaojin, and learnt how the make-up uses concise symbols, colors and patterns to depict their features.
